Description

When removing python2-celery-4.0.2-5.el7sat.noarch

This file gets left behind:

'/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/pulp_celerybeat.service',

When removing pulp either manually or with katello-remove we should not have any artifacts leftover.

Also we have these files left behind too:

'/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/pulp_resource_manager.service',
'/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/pulp_streamer.service',
'/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/pulp_workers.service',

Did you remove python2-celery-4.0.2-5.el7sat.noarch only?
Can you elaborate what exactly you removed and how?

The remaining items in /etc which you referred to, are they symlinks to files under /usr, or actual files under /etc?

Also, I am not sure why removing python2-celery should ever remove the service file.

The service file is provided by "pulp-server", a subpackage of pulp:
https://github.com/pulp/pulp-packaging/blob/5089c3618a985f73638d72e3ff8e1d35ac80576a/packages/pulp/pulp.spec#L470

And "pulp-server" calls the systemd scriptlet, that we would expect to remove the symlink under /etc:
