gofer agent using pulpplugin.py does not allow user/pass based auth in Profile

we have enabled ldap on pulp server, and are using pulp-consumer/pulp-admin with verify_ssl = False. This works fine. In one case we want to get unit profiles which is populated via gofer agent's pulpplugin.py on consumer.
but gofer agent does now allow option of passing username/password for sending this post request but only signed request.
since we have ldap enabled, we get 401 unauthorized error
