Issue #6101
closedCentos 8 : No available modular metadata for modular package
Description
Hello,
I'm currently facing an issue with the installation of Centos 8 via Kickstart/Foreman. I have performed a full sync of both centos-x86_64-server-8 & centos-x86_64-server-appstream repositories.
At the step "Starting package installation process", It download all the RPMS but It failed for the installation. I have this error "Payload Error - DNF installation has ended up abruptly: No available metada for mudular packageTraceback...."
And "No available modular metadata for modular package" as you can see :
Is it a bug with pulp ?
Thanks for your help

P.S : Also, for the record, I made a mirror from http://mirror.centos.org/centos/8/BaseOS/x86_64/os/ to my pulp repo. When I take a look on the content of both repodata folder, there's some difference. There's a lot of .xz files in the official mirror repodata. I don't have any .xz files in my mirror localrepo but I have some .bz2 file, seems the sync from Pulp convert all the .xz files and merge them in one bzip2 files. Is it a relevant problem ?
