  Thanks for the explanation. And given all of that I am fine with closing this. I recreated the repos with v1 disabled last night and everything we use the registry for continued working so I am satisfied with this as an option for cleani...   If I create the repo in pulp with '--enable-v1 false' then I see no docker_images either. So I guess maybe it's the case that the tag list does not affect v1 content.
