# Demo Presenter Notes Presentations are 5 min or less video a short demonstration of something accomplished that affects Pulp, a pulp Plugin, or the Pulp community. Presenters can be anyone from the community. ## Deciding to present There is a call for presenters sent to the pulp-dev@redhat.com email address whenever a demo is being organized. It has instructions on how to signup which is putting your name, nick, and title onto an etherpad. All presentations are pre-recorded You can present live, or record a video. ## Demo length All videos must be under 5 minutes. The Plan on a 1 - 4 minutes video, with the ideal demo length being about 3 - 4 minutes based on minutes. Longer demos are accepted, but consider that for a video of 4-5 minutes, fewer than 60% of your viewers will still be with you–against 75% for a 1-2 minute video. Whatever you use, make sure that you: 1\. Increase the font! Whatever you think is readable, make it a lot bigger. 2\. Check your audio level. We can't fix audio that is recorded too soft or too loud when we playback the video. ## Testing your Video All video playback happens in Firefox. Ensure that a normal Firefox browser can natively play your video. ## Sending your video: 1\. Come up with a title that is 50 chars or less. 2\. Come Also come up with a description. Ping bmbouter on freenode for the presenter link at least 10 minutes prior to start time. 3\. Join and playback give a screenshare and audio test. During the presentation share your screen before it's your turn. Even though your screen may be shared, the users only see your screen when it's your time. ##### Best Practices Use Chrome, Use xorg, come 10 min early, make sure you are signing in with an @gmail.com account. ##### Known Issues - Sometimes presenters receive a 403 error when joining. If you experience this, make sure you are joining with an Google Identity that content. is not "managed" by Google Apps for Business. In other words, use an @gmail.com address. If you are still having issues, consider signing out of your other accounts except for one @gmail.com address. <!-- end list --> - Screensharing doesn't work with Wayland.
