As a (novice) plugin writer, inspiring myself from pulp_rpm, I *think* I want to reuse some of the translation functionality, as present in pulp_rpm, into my new plugin. In my extensions_admin/pulp_deb/extensions/admin/criteria_utils.py (in pulp_deb, in this case) I use version_utils. This adds a dependency that is probably unnecessary. I think some of that code could may be made reusable by pushing it used in the platform.
