Description

As a (novice) plugin writer, inspiring myself from pulp_rpm, I think I want to reuse some of the translation functionality, as present in pulp_rpm, into my new plugin.

In my extensions_admin/pulp_deb/extensions/admin/criteria_utils.py (in pulp_deb, in this case) I use version_utils.

This adds a dependency that is probably unnecessary.

I think some of that code could be made reusable by pushing it in the platform.

Since version schemes are defined separately by each content type, I think it we should not include version tools in platform.
