Description

Suppose I want to find all sync tasks via the pulp admin cli. There's no way to do that now.

A possible command could look like:

pulp-admin tasks list --operation=sync

  • Subject changed from Create a way to list tasks by their type to Create a way to list tasks by their operation
  • Description updated (diff)

In Pulp2 tasks there are operations and resources. Here is a detail output for example:

Operations: sync
Resources: zoo (repository)

The example given filters for all sync's so that would be an operation not a resource. I've updated the title and example to match. If this isn't right please revert. I also added some checklist items.

Is this strictly a CLI feature? I didn't see anything that needs to change in the API for us to support this. Right?

Thanks for filing this looks like a good improvement.
