Description

We should extend the PULP_DISTRIBUTION.xml to include size and checksum information. This will allow Pulp to verify the downloaded content and also let it know in advance how large the download will be.

This will require bumping the version of the file format. However, if possible, we should continue to support the existing file format until the current pulp releases are no longer supported.

Pulp 2 is approaching maintenance mode, and this Pulp 2 ticket is not being actively worked on. As such, it is being closed as WONTFIX. Pulp 2 is still accepting contributions though, so if you want to contribute a fix for this ticket, please reopen or comment on it.
