It takes about a day to release pulpcore and all the plugins. I think we could automate parts of the release process.
For reference, here is the release guide: https://pulp.plan.io/projects/pulp/wiki/Pulp3_Release_Guide.
I think for pulpcore, we could automate steps 1-3. For plugins, we could automate steps 1-4.
I think we could also automate step 7 (step 8 for plugins).
Also, it would be nice to have a script that echoes out the release announcement email.
