Currently, it's required to have a special regex in .bumpversion.cfg depending on GA or Beta release one is doing.

Proposal¶

Have a phase parameter to the script which defaults to ga but also supports beta (maybe rc in the future).
Choose appropriate regex according to the phase of the release.
