I use psmash in my vagrant env regularly. It would be great if I could run:
psmash pulp_smash.tests.rpm.api_v2.test_broker.BrokerTestCase.test_broker_reconnect

Pulp 2 is approaching maintenance mode, and this Pulp 2 ticket is not being actively worked on. As such, it is being closed as WONTFIX.
